Airtight roofing prevents increased heating and cooling costs.  

2. Is your attic insulated?

Air seal the attic from the house and add cellulose or other low-embodied energy insulation.

3. Is the insulation sufficient (code minimum or greater is preferred)?

Great! Check to make sure it’s airtight. Seal all penetrations, attic hatch, etc.

4. If you have a cathedral ceiling or flat roof—is your roof insulated?

Does it meet code for condensation control? If not, remove and use exterior insulation for condensation control.
